I am who I am. A sculpture left unfinished and unrefined.
But, I am patient.
I am observing.
I watch as the artists seek me out.
I smile as their hands raise and their chisels break.
I laugh as the paints crack and the sealants slide.
I am a work of art, unfinished and unrefined.
You may stab at me with your scalpels, and tickle me with your brushes, but here I will remain.
No crayon ready child shall finish me. I will not be built up to take the fall.
I am to be a masterpiece; and only in his hands shall I see myself finished.
Only then will I be whole.
