The following is a set of basic guidelines for participation in the
Collarme chatrooms. They are as they are titled guidelines, meaning they are presented as a guide for acceptable activity in the chatrooms and
are not all hard and fast rules nor are they inclusive of all possibile chatroom behaviors. Your choice to participate in the chatrooms
is an acceptance of its guidelines and the authority of its administration and users are expected to abide by all guidelines referenced here.
Collarme chatroom operators and administrators are the final arbiters of all situations and conflicts.
The statements and considerations made in the Terms of Service notice are also applicable to the Collarme chatrooms. This includes but is not limited to issues of age and the discussion of illegal activities. Anyone under the age of 18 or the age of consent to view adult materials in their location (whichever is greater) is not permitted in the chatrooms.
The primary intention of the Collarme chatrooms is to provide an interactive medium for discussion and the exchange of ideas as well as a place for
users to get to know and interact with one another within the Collarme community. Considering the natural diversity of opinion and expression, it is
understood that disagreements will occur. While debate is acceptable, chat of the sort generally known as "flames" is not. Participants are not expected
to coddle one another but they are expected to express themselves in a manner which is consistant with a reasonable measure of civility.
This isn't a place to insult the interests, preferences, lifestyles, etc. of others. If you don't like what another person enjoys, rest assured that there are plenty of others out there that probably don't like your activities either. Harassment and personal attacks will not be tolerated.
Topics which are unacceptable regardless of circumstance include, but are not limited to: activities that are illegal or incite criminal activity such as instructional information on how to build a bomb, minors, bestiality, incest, necrophilia and snuff. Links to and/or references to content not allowed under these guidelines is also prohibited.
Any material that contains or facilitates the transfer of software viruses or any other computer code, files or programs designed to interrupt, destroy or limit the functionality of any computer software or hardware or telecommunications equipment including but not limited to fserves, abusive bots, attack scripts, war scripts, clones and flooding is strictly prohibited.
Collarme discourages chat that contains highly explicit or graphic descriptions or accounts of sexual acts including but not limited to 'cybersex' in public chat or sexual language of a violent or threatening nature, directed at another individual or group, particularly when unsolicited.
Collarme discourages all chat that portrays violence in a gratuitous manner especially when it is intended to antagonize, offend or cause emotional
distress, victimize, harass, persecute, degrade or intimidate an individual or group of individuals on the basis of age, disability,
ethnicity, gender, race, religion or sexual orientation. Hate speech is unacceptable anywhere on the site.
Collarme already provides ample resources for the creation of "personals" listings. The chatrooms are not the place for such things. Likewise, the spamming of advertisements of any kind will not be tolerated. Collarme does not allow solicitations for exchange, sale or purchase including but not limited to any images, items or services in public chat.
This isn't the place for the sharing of personal information. Do not share the names, addresses, phone numbers, etc. of yourself or others. If you wish to exchange such information or make inquires in this regard, do so privately. Attempts to get a password, or other private information, unsolicited, from a user is unacceptable. Collarme staff members will never ask you for your password. Impersonations of another Collarme member or Collarme staff member in an attempt to deceive, harass or otherwise mislead is prohibited.
Questions regarding legal issues in reference to BDSM activities are expected to arise from time to time. While discussion of these topics is acceptable, direct or veiled accusations against individuals is not. Keep the conversation limited to general terms and examples. Collarme discourages chat about any material that defames, abuses, threatens, promotes, or instigates physical harm or death to others, or oneself.
Unverified Events That Occurred Off The Collarme System: It is not the place of a Collarme chat operator to play judge and jury when it comes to
issues of sincerity. It is not the place of a Collarme chat operator to determine if a person is telling the truth or not, nor is it the place of the
operator to take any action when another in the room cries fake, player, abuser or anything else. We have no way of knowing whether what is claimed is true
or not. This isn't a judgment call on the person who is relaying the story. It could all be true and they may have the best of intentions, but then again,
it could be because someone was scorned and with intentions of slander or spite. We have no real way of knowing.
We want the chatrooms to be a resource that helps the community in terms of promoting safe and responsible behavior but in most cases we feel this is better served by having more generalized discussions on the various topics related to these ideas. We feel this is a much better approach than blindly follow direct accusations that point at individual people, which none of the individuals reading it can really be certain of the validity of.
We encourage positive discussions and promotion of safety.
Verifiable Online Events Through The Collarme System: Collarme chat operators do not have access to read anything that was sent or done in private
through the Collarme mail system. If someone has sent you a harassing message through the Collarme mail system, please send an email to support.
Collarme chat operators are unable to take action in such situations until our support staff looks into the matter. Collarme maintains a transcript
of all lobby events for 30 days, so if there is ever a situation where a log needs to be pulled up, it can be looked into. Collarme encourages all of
our users to use discretion when giving out personal information to others, events that take place off the Collarme system is at the users discretion.
The administration has the authority to handle situations in whatever manner they feel to be in the best interests of the chartroom, at that moment, in response to that event.
General discussion opinions expressed by members of the Collarme staff are not necessarily the opinions of Collarme itself.
Collarme does not have a policy about users needing anyone's permission to send private messages. They are always allowed. This is a personals site and we encourage private chat, it is no one else's business who is/is not messaging who. If a user does not wish to speak with a certain person, they should politely let them know that they do not care to chat. If the unwanted messages continue, please use the ignore option. If you feel that you are being harassed, please notify a chat operator and if applicable, supply logs.
One does not need a profile to participate in chat. Just because a user does not wish to maintain a profile it does not mean that they are any more or less credible, sincere or 'real' as some may call it.
Collarme does not want the chatrooms to be hangouts for idle users or operators who are unavailable to chat/moderate for hours on end. We have a system in place where if a user or operator is idle for over an hour they will be removed from the chatrooms.
Collarme does not allow an individual user to have more than one name in the chartroom at any given time.
