Collarme.com - Report Stolen Photos
| What is the purpose of this page? |
| This page provides information for persons who have become aware of photos of themselves posted to this website by another person without their consent. The instructions below will enable you to provide verification of your identity and consequently have those photos removed. |
| What do I need to verify and why? |
| You need to verify that you are the person who holds ownership to the photo(s) in question. This is necessary so that we can determine which party genuinely holds such ownership and which party is falsely claiming it. |
| How can I verify my identity? |
| We are able to accept verification of identity by ANY of the following means: |
| 1) You can use the form below to upload a picture of yourself holding up a piece of paper with the words "STOLEN PHOTOS" and the date written on it. We must be able to clearly see your face for the purpose of comparison. This is the simplest and easiest way to verify your identity. |
| 2) You can use the form below to upload an image of your government issued photo-identification card. This can be your drivers license, passport, or other government-issued identification card which has your picture on it. You may black-out sensitive information, such as your identification number, if desired. |
| 3) You can fax your government-issued photo identification card (as specified above) to (646) 219-9243. Make sure to include the username of the account in question or we will not be able to process your report. |
| Can I use other means to verify my identity? |
| No. Sending us other information, such as links to websites containing your photos, are not sufficient. |
| How do I report photos on behalf of someone else? |
| You cannot report photos on behalf of another person. Please direct the person you are concerned about to this page. |
| Why do you ask for my email address? |
| You can optionally provide your email address so that we can contact you if there is a problem with your report. If you choose not to provide your email address and there is a problem with your report, you will not be notified. |
| How long will it take until my report has been processed? |
| Under normal circumstances, your report will be processed within three business days or less. If your report is verified, the photos in question will be removed. |
| Can I use this form to get my password changed, etc? |
| No. The only purpose of this form is to report stolen photos. Our support staff are not authorized to use the reports for other purposes. |
