I have been actively involved in D/s & BDSM since 1996. Prior to that I was unaware my interests and actions had a name, category and community, I simply "did stuff" considered kinky or edgy by my fairly vanilla partners.
I am not interested in joining or participating with the local D/s - BDSM community, munches or clubs as I cannot afford to be out and open about my interests, and I honestly just do not have the time. It isn't that I wouldn't find wonderful people or friends there, but rather there just isn't any place in my life for that right now.
Please note: My profile pic is my "avatar," it represents me in many ways and yet it is not actually a photo of me. I cannot post a real life photo for work, social and community reasons. I am sure there are many in similar situations here that understand. Bottom line: I'm not going to lose my job or create social drama so some stranger on the internet thinks I am more "real" or serious about my interests.
