(I have my doubts about the number of people that actually read profiles before sending emails, but I suppose I should bother with one anyway)
I am a service-oriented, masochistic, smart-mouthed, submissive equal-opportunity attention whore with an emerging switchy side. At least, that's what it says on my business cards.
Things I do not expect or want to change at any point in the foreseeable future:

I am active in the local scene. Active as in "I'm on the board of Black Rose" active. Tuesday is my favorite day of the week, because that's when BR meetings are. If you're not currently part of the public scene, and you're not willing to become part of it, then don't bother contacting me.

I have a wonderful group of friends who lavish me with attention and affection. I am frequently sporting bruises or scratches from my friends and often spend the weekend in other people's bed (platonicly). You wanna get in on the action? Prove that you're worth it.
Be smart. Be funny. Be nice. Be a gentleman. Take yourself too seriously and the chances are very good I won't take you seriously at all. Treat me disrespectfully and you'll get the same in return. Those friends I mentioned? They're protective and good with knives. I'm just sayin'. (And the same holds true in reverse. The shortest route out of my life is disrespecting the people I hold dear.)
Send me an email that's got more to it than "hi" or "you're pretty." It's nice that you think I'm pretty, and sweet that you wanted to share that. But surely you can manage more in conversation? You can spend as much time as you like composing an email, you can even take the time to spell-check and proof-read it. Prove to me you can hold your own with me in conversation, because while my tones are indeed dulcet, you'll get sick of them pretty fast if you can't keep up.
You want kids? That's nice. So do I. But I'm willing to hit the snooze button on my biological clock until I find the right guy (and preferably have a ring and joint tax returns). Don't offer to breed me. Seriously, I can understand the fantasy, but out of the blue like that it just ends up on my LJ for the amusement of my friends.
Woo me. It's been done before, it's entirely possible and totally worth it. (there's a great line about Cancers: "I play hard to get but I'm really so easy to keep" trufax) I am at my core a romantic, despite the veneer of cynicism my past heartbreaks have given me. I crave not only deep fall-to-my-knees submission but also head-over-heels love.
What turns me on? Intelligence, humor, kindness, dominance, generosity of spirit, and good hands. Good social skills. A brain that works like mine.
Turn-offs include stupidity, arrogance, bad grammar, immaturity, social/political conservatism and libertarianism. Don't email me to argue with me about my politics, that's not what I'm here for and you're not going to change my mind.
