My journey through "what it is that we do" has been 14 years in the making. I've performed in front of crowds, drawn specifically to see what new madness I had taught my girls. I've made award-winning fetish clothing. I've walked down a crowded mall, filming my girl as she danced in ballet boots and a mini-skirt. I have looked into a thousand pairs of eyes and left a greater person for each of them. I have sat on the edge of the desert watching the sunrise while plumbing the depths of human thought. And I have survived three consecutive meals at Denny's, fueling the most intense sixteen-hour discussion of psychology, philosophy, politics, evolutionary biology, chaos theory, loop quantum gravity and the hidden esoteric meaning behind 'Leave it to Beaver' that Mankind has yet produced. It was scary. There were pancakes.
