Been working out of town (way out of town!) for awhile, hid my profile since I wasn't going to be active or on here much if at all anyway. Plus, managed to be a total klutz and delete my entire profile at the same time. It's high time I got off my butt and replicated/updated it.
To answer one constant question: I'm military and deployed to Afghanistan until May or June, and coming back again later in the year.
To answer another: a live-in, 24/7, lifestyle, long-term relationship is not in the foreseeable future. I'm not looking for a sugar-daddy (or mommy), to be collared, owned, or committed. Not really in a position to consider relocating either, and probably would decline even should the opportunity arise.
If you're still reading after all that negative vibe, then here's who and what I'm about.
I've been on an exploratory and experimental journey, trying to understand a curiosity about submission. It's not about bondage or sadomasochistic tendencies, those are things with which I'm familiar and comfortable and enjoy considerably. It's not even about sex, though that's something with which I'm familiar and comfortable and...
What got me all wound up about this was seeing people I viewed as true and dedicated submissives, the image and aura they projected, a sense of contentment and satisfaction. SM play is wonderful and fulfilling in a physical sort of way, but subbis have emotional content that has been lacking in my relationships.
That said, after a lot of searching, and learning, and growing and more than a few missteps, I had a bit of an epiphany: I don't think one can submit to someone with whom they haven't already formed an emotional bond. While it's easy to be a masochistic play-partner, the emotional content inherent in a submissive relationship requires that link. Submitting to someone in the hope of finding love just won't work, at least not for me.
I have a steady top, he's wonderful and I love him dearly, but he's just not a dom. However, at this point in my submissive evolution I think the correct path is to nurture what I have and try to mold my lover in the direction I want to go. It might work out perfectly, it might fail miserably, but it will no doubt be fun in the attempt.
